Following the FSHA Annual Meeting on October 31, the newly elected and returning Board of Directors met on November 6. After several years of dedicated service as President of the Association, George Boniface stepped down from that position. George will continue to serve out the final year of his present term on the board, and I was entrusted with the responsibility of his previous office. Other officers elected were Joy Jarvis Vice-President, Beth Dixon, Secretary and Glenn DeBiasi, Treasurer.
The Board of Directors appreciates its responsibility to the owners to maintain and improve the safety, security and amenity of the Fort Sumter House to the best of its capabilities. The schedule of future maintenance and replacement needs, which was sent to you last month, will be reviewed and prioritized each time the board meets to keep the on-going cost of operation within reason.
