1. Update on 2012 Assessment.
Thank you to all owners who have paid their assessment, either in installments or in full payments. Please note that the policy on charging interest for past due assessment invoices is 1% per month, when the bill is more than 30 days past due. The owner’s April 2012 assessment billing statement will include any interest due for all late payments since January, if applicable. The penalty interest of 1% per month is not compounded.
2. Meet the FSH Staff.
We have some new employees on the FSH staff. In order to help all owners and residents get to know the staff better, Glenn DeBiasi has created a “Meet the Fort Sumter House Staff” document. It is posted on the FSH blog under Add’l Links (https://fortsumterhouse.org/?page_id=250). We will also post this document on the bulletin board in the mail room.
3. Pressure Washing the Building.
Now that the repair work to the balconies and railings is completed, we will proceed with getting estimates for pressure washing the building. We plan to have this work done in the spring. Please note that the pressure washing will not include washing of windows / storm windows in individual units.
4. New FSH MarketPlace.
Do you have anything to sell? Are you looking for something to buy? After some suggestions and requests for a “shop & swap” area for FSH, the Board agreed to try creating a place for this on our blog! We are looking for items that you may want to sell, or even buy. Send a description along with a photo to [email protected] We’ll compile the list and make it available on the blog (fortsumterhouse.org). More details on this coming soon!
5. Reminder about Carts.
The 4 green carts near the back lobby stairs are for the use of all residents. Please remember to return the carts after use, so that they are available for other residents. Note that it is not the responsibility of the FSH staff to return the carts to the back lobby.
