To welcome in the New Year, the 3rd Annual Polar Bear Plunge was held at the FSH swimming pool. Residents, Jennifer Russell & Rick Newton (#601) were instrumental in organizing the event and this year saw 5 willing participants, Jennifer, Rick, David Scheffler and Nancy & Bill Engeman. The roof over the shed on King Street has been replaced. The shed roof covers the bike room, the workshop, and the new HVAC system (2013). The old roof was badly in need of repair due to water leakage. We are happy to report that this project has been completed. See the attachment below for details and pictures. Continue reading
Our Christmas party this year was also a Retirement Party in honor of Joe Yetsko, who has been the FSH Building Manager since 1996. Joe has managed FSH for almost 20 years and will retire on December 31, 2015. We wanted to make this event a time of special recognition of Joe. There was a huge turn out – the biggest we have ever had! The decorations were beautiful and the food was delicious. Thank you to Helen Jacobs, Connie & Creighton Likes, Franke Wilson, Ann Mular, Carroll Hobbs, and Martha DeBiasi for their help with organizing the party, all the arrangements, the decorating, the delicious food, and all other details.
