Notification of Annual Homeowners Meeting October 31, 2011

The Annual Meeting of the Fort Sumter House Association will be held in the lobby on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 6:30 PM.

We hope all members will attend. If you are unable to attend, please complete the enclosed proxy statement naming someone you wish to represent and vote in your place. Proxies may be needed to insure a quorum for the meeting and should be submitted to the building manager prior to the day of the meeting. Your proxy may be mailed, faxed (see number below), hand delivered, or emailed to [email protected].

As indicated previously in the letter dated September 21, 2011, there are three (3) seats on the Board of Directors up for election this year. The terms of Beth Dixon, Dick Donohoe, and Jay Jacobs expire on October 31, 2011. As of today, the following names have been placed in nomination:

Glenn Debiasi      Apt 602
Beth Dixon           Apt 608       (incumbent)
Dick Donohoe      Apt 408       (incumbent)

You may use the enclosed ballot to select your preference to fill in the 3 available seats on the board. You may choose from the aforementioned nominees or write in the name of any other valid member of the Association who chooses to run. Please ensure that any write-in candidate is agreeable to serving the two-year term prior to submitting their name.

You also need to vote on the two (2) proposed amendments to the Master Deed. Information about these amendments and a ballot is enclosed.

All ballots and proxies must be submitted before 6:30 PM on October 31, 2011, so that voting results can be tabulated before the end of the Annual Meeting. You can return your ballot by hand, by mail, or by fax (see number below). Any ballot submitted after the 6:30 PM start of the Annual Meeting may be discarded.

Enclosed are: the proxy statement, resumes and ballot, proposed amendments to the Master Deed and ballots, proposed agenda, maintenance repair list, financial statement, and budget report.
