Many months ago, there was an article in the Post & Courier Newspaper about the new All-In-One Recycling Program in Charleston County that would encourage more participation in the recycling effort. Recently everyone was mailed information about the expansion of the All-In-One Residential Recycling Program from Charleston County Environmental Management. Apparently the rollout of the program is not complete and residents will receive a letter in the mail when their area is included in the All-In-One Program. Several residents here at FSH thought that this program was already implemented in our area and were disposing all types of recyclables in the same bin. We have just learned that this program has NOT been implemented in the downtown Charleston area yet. We ask that all residents separate their recyclables, so that our employees do not spend their time separating the recyclables prior to pickup. Signs have been placed on top of each recycle bin to indicate which bin to use for each type of recyclable. Thanks for your cooperation.
