We all patronize local restaurants in the neighborhood. Which one would you recommend? Are there any to stay away from? It would be nice to share this information with other FSH residents! Here is a draft list of local restaurants within walking distance of FSH. These spots are on (or close to) King Street and below Calhoun. As we get comments and suggestions, we’ll update this list. Recently went to ‘Bin 152′(wine bar) right up the street near the corner of King & Queen for a glass of wine and one of their cheese plates. Bread was delicious. Felt like I was in Europe! Highly recommend it.
Also, a new restaurant has opened where Vickery’s use to be on Beaufain St. Great food at a great price. Downtown bargain. It’s called “Leaf”.
I ate at Leef last night. (or is it Leaf?). It is now on my “go-back-to” list. Food was well-prepared, some interesting items, well-priced, great atmosphere, good service. You will like the bar (unless you are only a milk-drinker). It is downtown, close to C of C, where Vickery’s used to be.
We have been to Leaf for Sunday brunch. They offered 6 0r 8 items, each for $15, which included a bloody mary or a mimosa. Food and service were great and the outside seating on the patio was delightful.
You went there too? And we both liked it. 2 for 2.
